Red panel-mounted audible and visual alarm component from the MMAIATEX product range

MMAIATEX Adds Eight Product Overview Videos to Its English Website

Last reviewed: August 21, 2026

This is a website content update. It does not announce a new product certification, independent laboratory test, field performance result, customer project or production line.

What has been added

The public MMAIATEX Video page was created on August 11, 2026 and updated on August 13, 2026. At the time of this review, it contains eight self-hosted product overview videos.

The videos give buyers a quick visual introduction to several product families already represented on the English website. They complement written specifications and product-category pages, but they do not replace them.

Video topic Products introduced Useful next step
Hazardous-area LED lighting MAMBD8117, MAMBD8118 and MAMBD8223 series Compare mounting, electrical, optical and environmental requirements with the exact model data
Audible and visual alarm MAMBD4599 series Confirm supply voltage, output configuration, ambient range and required Ex documentation
SMC enclosures Two flameproof-enclosure overview videos Confirm enclosure identity, entries, internal configuration, marking and certificate scope
Indicator light Mingmai AD16-22SM red LED indicator overview Confirm voltage, color, mounting interface, function and model status
Cable glands Explosion-proof cable-gland series overview Match protection concept, cable construction, seal range, thread and documentation

Why video helps during early product research

A buyer often needs to understand the physical form of a product before studying a detailed data sheet. A short overview can help answer initial questions such as:

  • Is this product family a luminaire, enclosure, alarm, indicator or cable-entry accessory?
  • What general mounting form or external construction is shown?
  • Which model name should be used when requesting current technical information?
  • Which written category should the buyer review next?

This visual orientation can make an enquiry more specific. It cannot determine whether a product is suitable for a hazardous area, because suitability depends on the exact model, configuration, marking, certificate scope, installation conditions and destination-market rules.

How to use a product overview video responsibly

Use the video as the beginning of a documented selection process, not as the final approval record.

  1. Record the exact product family or model shown in the title.
  2. Open the relevant product or category page and compare available technical information.
  3. Define the installation country and applicable regulatory route.
  4. Obtain the approved hazardous-area classification from the responsible project team.
  5. Request the current data sheet, marking information, instructions and certification documents for the exact model and configuration.
  6. Verify the documents and any certificate conditions before approval.

Buyers who are reviewing lighting can continue to the Ex Light Fittings category. Buyers working on cable entries can review Flexible Conduits and Cable Glands.

What the videos do not prove

A product video can show appearance and general construction. It cannot independently prove any of the following:

  • A current IECEx Certificate of Conformity
  • Compliance with Directive 2014/34/EU for the exact product
  • Suitability for Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 or 22
  • A gas group, dust group, temperature class or maximum surface temperature
  • An ambient temperature range or ingress-protection rating
  • Compatibility with a buyer's cable, enclosure, circuit or installation method
  • Approval by the authority having jurisdiction for a specific project

Do not infer these properties from a product title, photograph, video frame or category name. Our guide to verifying IECEx certificates and ATEX documents explains the evidence checks buyers should complete.

Connecting video with the English knowledge series

The video library extends the website's product-discovery layer. The English knowledge series provides the next layer by explaining selection questions, markings and document checks.

The earlier company update, MMAIATEX Expands English Online Product Resources for International Buyers, explains why product categories are useful for discovery but must not be treated as certification evidence. The article How to Read Ex Markings then helps buyers interpret the information on an exact product nameplate.

Together, the video, product and knowledge pages support a practical sequence: see the product family, identify the exact model, define the application, request the documents and verify the evidence.

Current MMAIATEX certification status

The public MMAIATEX About page states that ATEX, IECEx and CCC certification work is in progress. A website statement, category label, image or video must not be applied automatically to every model or configuration.

Before specifying any product for a hazardous area, request the current documents for the exact legal manufacturer, model, suffix and configuration. Check certificate status, scope and conditions through the applicable official system and the responsible project team.

Safety disclaimer

This article is general product-research information. It is not an area-classification study, certificate, declaration of conformity, installation instruction or engineering approval. Hazardous-area selection and installation must be completed by competent personnel using current project documents, applicable rules and exact product evidence.

Request model-specific information

Tell MMAIATEX the destination country, product family, exact model if known, hazardous-area classification, environmental conditions, electrical duty and required documents. The team can then identify what current information is available for review.
