MMAIATEX destination and marking guides: choose your starting point
Different documents answer different questions. A country response in an international scheme, a reference to a technical standard and an identification number beside a conformity marking are not interchangeable evidence. The new resources explain those distinctions for purchasing, engineering and EHS readers without turning a web article into an approval decision.
Use the question in the first column to choose a guide. You do not need to read all three in sequence, and none is a substitute for the manufacturer's applicable instructions or the project's competent reviewer.
| Your immediate question | New resource | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| What does an IECEx Bulletin response tell me about a destination? | National differences guide | A country-and-edition record is not automatic market acceptance |
| What does a flame-arrester standard reference actually cover? | ISO/IEC 80079-49 scope guide | A catalogue reference does not select a device for a process |
| What does the number beside CE identify? | ATEX notified body FAQ | Body identity alone does not establish equipment suitability |
A destination question needs an identified standard edition
The IECEx national differences guide focuses on keeping the country, standard and edition together when recording a Bulletin result. It also separates that record from product certification and destination requirements.
The guide links to the official IECEx Bulletin overview and the operational document explaining its use. It addresses unanswered information without treating silence as approval. Readers can use the suggested recordkeeping approach to describe a specific unresolved question to the responsible party, rather than asking whether an entire product family is approved everywhere.
This resource is useful when a purchasing file contains a broad acceptance statement that needs a clearer source and scope. It does not publish a new list of countries that accept MMAIATEX equipment.
A technical reference needs a defined object and purpose
The ISO/IEC 80079-49 flame-arrester guide explains the public standard scope and the difference between identifying documentation and making an engineering selection. Its starting point is the IEC catalogue entry, not an assumed product rating.
The article organizes an enquiry around item identity, intended duty, supporting evidence and document differences. It keeps process flame arresters separate from electrical enclosure flamepaths and process seals. Readers are directed to competent specialists for application decisions; the guide supplies no sizing calculation or installation procedure.
The representative website photograph is explicitly identified as a luminaire, not a flame arrester. Publishing the guide does not announce a MMAIATEX flame-arrester range or process-engineering service.
A marking question needs the body's role, not only its name
The ATEX notified body number FAQ provides twelve direct answers about reading the number, distinguishing it from a certificate reference, checking notified scope and recording discrepancies.
It links to the European Commission's ATEX resources and the current official guidance used for the explanation. The article preserves the conditional connection to production-control involvement and does not assign a conformity procedure from a product photograph.
Buyers can use it to formulate a specific document question before accepting an explanation. It does not authorize a purchaser to add a number to a label or treat a familiar testing organization's name as approval of every model in a catalogue.
Keep the reading record connected to the order
When sharing a guide internally, include its URL and review date with the precise issue under discussion. Identify the proposed model, destination and document revision separately. That helps a colleague see whether the question concerns the market, the technical document or the equipment marking.
If an order changes, keep the earlier record rather than silently relabelling it. Ask the responsible reviewer whether the changed destination, model or supporting document affects the previous conclusion. These are suggested purchasing practices, not new legal requirements issued by MMAIATEX.
The three articles remain distinct resources. Their purpose is to make evidence questions easier to describe, not to promise a faster approval, a successful inspection or a particular search result. Follow their primary-source links when the decision requires the original context.
Current MMAIATEX certification status
MMAIATEX is the public brand of MMAIATEX Explosion-proof Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. The About page currently describes ATEX, IECEx and CCC certification as in progress. This publication update does not change that statement or establish certification for any model. Representative product photographs are not certificates or evidence of application suitability.
Safety and legal disclaimer
These resources provide general reading and document-review information. They are not legal advice, product approval, equipment selection or instructions for work on an operating installation. Competent reviewers must assess the actual application, current documentation and applicable requirements. Do not alter equipment, labels or site controls based on these articles.
Contact MMAIATEX about your document enquiry
Include the proposed equipment identity, destination, intended application and the specific document question. If one of the new guides prompted the enquiry, include its link so the context is clear.
