What the MMAIATEX September 22 buyer guides cover
The three published resources answer different buyer questions. They are intended to make document requests and technical reviews more precise, not to replace licensed standards, certificates, site studies or competent engineering decisions.
- IECEx Conformity Mark License: Buyer Verification Guide
- IEC 60079-45 Ignition Systems for Engines: Buyer Guide
- Hydrogen Hazardous Area Equipment Selection: 12 FAQs
These are editorial guides. Publication does not create a product approval, certificate, license or claim about a customer installation.
Guide 1: connect an IECEx Mark to a live license record
The Industry Insights guide starts with a simple distinction: recognizing the IECEx Conformity Mark graphic is not the same as verifying authorization to use it. The official IECEx Conformity Mark Licensing Scheme describes the controlled route, while IECEx 04A explains that the Mark is used with a license identification number.
The guide gives buyers a practical sequence. Check the identification code, license holder, issuing IECEx Certification Body, current record and license schedule. Then connect the exact offered model to a Certificate of Conformity listed within that evidence chain. This reduces the risk of accepting a logo, screenshot or unrelated certificate as proof for the equipment actually being purchased.
For broader document checks, readers can also use the existing MMAIATEX guide to verifying IECEx certificates and ATEX documents and the separate QAR versus CoC buyer guide.
Guide 2: keep IEC 60079-45 inside its stated scope
The Technical Knowledge guide uses the official page for IEC 60079-45:2025, Edition 1.0, published on August 27, 2025. The public scope concerns electrical ignition systems and individual ignition-system components for spark-ignited reciprocating internal combustion engines within defined limits.
The guide records the stated EPL Gc boundary, the listed Group IIB+H2, IIB and IIA entries, and the normal secondary-voltage limit of 60 kV. It also highlights exclusions. A Part 45 document should not be extended to an entire engine, driven machine or installation without the separate evidence required for those boundaries.
This distinction matters during procurement because a component-level document and a package-level acceptance are different decisions. The related MMAIATEX Equipment Protection Level guide explains EPL terminology, but it does not change the scope of IEC 60079-45 or any product certificate.
Guide 3: build a controlled hydrogen equipment inquiry
The FAQ gives 12 concise answers for hydrogen hazardous-area equipment selection. It begins with a competent area-classification record, then connects the exact product identity to required marking, gas subgroup, EPL, temperature limits, ambient limits, certificate scope, environment and interfaces.
IECEx OD 290 Edition 3.0 provides harmonized IECEx certification procedures for equipment, components and systems associated with gaseous hydrogen production, dispensing and use. The guide makes clear that this operational document is not itself a product certificate.
The FAQ also avoids two shortcuts. It does not claim that every hydrogen location automatically requires IIC equipment, and it does not treat one component certificate as approval for a complete skid or system. Buyers can use the MMAIATEX gas Zone classification guide for related context while keeping classification and product certification as separate evidence tasks.
How the pages are designed for buyer review
Each guide opens with a direct answer and a visible review date. Comparison tables, decision steps and short limitations make the pages easier to scan during a document review. Official sources are linked close to the claims they support, and related MMAIATEX guides provide additional context without presenting one article as proof for another.
The representative product images come from the MMAIATEX website media library. Each caption requires readers to verify the exact model marking, certificate scope and current documentation. A photograph can help identify the type of industrial hardware shown, but appearance, filename, IP rating or marketing wording does not prove hazardous-area suitability.
Current MMAIATEX certification status
MMAIATEX is the public brand of MMAIATEX Explosion-proof Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. The public About page states that ATEX, IECEx and CCC certification work is in progress. The three guides, their source links and their representative photographs do not prove that a particular MMAIATEX model is certified or suitable. Buyers must verify exact identity, current documents, scope, conditions and destination requirements.
Safety and legal disclaimer
These guides provide general procurement information. They are not licenses, certificates, engine assessments, hydrogen release studies, equipment approvals, area classifications, installation approvals or legal opinions. Hazardous-area decisions require current licensed standards, exact product evidence, applicable law, site procedures and competent professionals.
