FAQs

Compare inductive and capacitive proximity sensors by the target and documented configuration, not by housing resemblance. These twelve questions help Ex equipment buyers separate sensing evidence, interfaces and hazardous-area approval.

Buying a motor starter for a hazardous-area project requires evidence for the offered starter configuration, its electrical duty and its explosion-protection basis. These questions help buyers keep those records separate.

Specify the dimming interface, complete luminaire option and required operating behavior before accepting a lighting quotation. Control compatibility and explosion-protection evidence answer different questions.

An emergency-lighting option needs its own configuration and performance evidence. These buyer questions separate the emergency function, power arrangement and maintenance information from the luminaire’s explosion-protection documentation.

Before using a luminaire file in a lighting calculation, connect it to the exact quoted configuration and supporting report. These twelve questions separate photometric evidence, design assumptions and explosion-protection documentation.

A pressure-switch enquiry needs more than an enclosure description. These twelve buyer questions separate switching duty, process conditions, electrical interface and the evidence needed for hazardous-area selection.

A product photograph does not establish an approved mounting position. Use these twelve questions to connect the proposed orientation, equipment instructions, drawing revision and unresolved installation conditions before purchasing.

An unused enclosure entry needs a documented closure decision. These buyer questions explain how to distinguish an Ex stopping plug from a transit cap, gland or breather without prescribing installation settings.

An Ex marking alone does not establish suitability for oxygen enrichment. Separate surrounding-atmosphere conditions from oxygen-contact service when reviewing a proposed product.

Understand what a notified body number beside the CE marking can establish, how to check its scope and which document questions remain open before purchasing.
